It's easy to turn Fixa Foods flavors into fast sauces for pasta, bowls, tacos, and more.
If your Fixa Foods flavor is frozen…
- Let it defrost in the refrigerator overnight or on the counter for 1-2 hours.
- Then give it a good stir.
For a little sauce to drizzle:
- Get a heat-proof bowl
- Add 2-3 heaping spoonfuls of your Fixa Foods flavor.
- Add 2-3 Tablespoons of hot drinking water.
- Whisk to your desired consistency.
- Serve over Buddha bowls, tacos, veggies, or protein of your choice.
For a lotta sauce for pasta:
- Empty a bag of Fixa Foods pasta into a large pot of boiling, salted water.
- Cook for about 6-9 minutes (or time indicated on package) until al dente.
- Reserve a cup or two of pasta water.
- Drain the pasta.
- In a skillet or heat-proof bowl, add one-half to one full jar of Fixa Foods (depending on how much sauce you want to make). Some helpful ratios:
- 8 oz pasta + ½ jar of Fixa Foods + ½-1 cup of pasta water
- 16 oz pasta + 1 jar of Fixa foods + 1-2 cups of pasta water
- Slowly whisk in the reserved pasta water until your desired consistency.
- For a thicker sauce, use less water. For a thinner sauce, use more water.
- Toss the pasta with the sauce and any vegetables, protein, or toppings of your choice.
